Holly Willoughby used Ultra Violette's tinted SPF50 during Celebrity Bear Hunt to get her glowy skin, so I've been putting it to the test ready for summer

While filming Celebrity Bear Hunt in Costa Rica’s tropical climate, Holly Willoughby’s makeup artist, Patsy O’Neill , revealed she used Ultra Violette’s Daydream Screen Tinted Veil SPF50 on the presenter. With its lightweight texture, glowing finish, and high sun protection, the product kept Holly’s skin both protected and camera-ready throughout filming. Impressed by how flawless her skin looked - and frustrated by my usual experience of makeup pilling over SPF - I decided to try the Daydream Screen Tinted Veil myself.

Normally priced at £38 and stocked by retailers like Cult Beauty , several shades are currently discounted to £26.60 at Sephora , so it’s worth checking if yours is on offer. I found application worked best with a brush, but fingers do the job too. Available in 15 shades, the “tinted” veil offers more than just a tint—it builds to light-to-medium coverage that evens out skin tone, covers redness and blemishes, and leaves a natural-looking finish. The final result was a subtle glow that balanced my complexion perfectly.

I'm not usually one for a dewy base as it can make me look oily, but this gave just the right amount of luminosity to make my skin look fresh and healthy without too much shine. I must admit, the Daydream Screen Tinted Veil did feel slightly sticky after application, but a quick dusting of translucent powder on areas like my nose and under eyes sorted that out. The tackiness also disappeared once it had settled into my skin.

Other products such as blushers, bronzers and highlighters blended beautifully over the top. I tested both powder and liquid formulas to ensure they'd work with it, and there was no separating or shifting once it was applied. The Daydream Screen Tinted Veil is enriched with Pentivitin which hydrates your skin, making it a summer makeup bag essential.

It's free from silicones, oils and alcohols, which makes it suitable for all skin types including my sensitive and eczema-prone skin. Of course, the biggest selling point is that it contains SPF50, protecting your face from both UVA and UVB rays . However, it's designed to be used as a secondary sunscreen layered over your usual SPF, making it much easier to reapply throughout the day.

If you're on the hunt for an ultra-lightweight daily SPF, I'm also a big fan of Ultra Violette's Future Fluid SPF50+ Superlight Mineral Skinscreen . It's priced at £38 and boasts the most lightweight non-pilling formula I've come across so far. For those looking for a more budget-friendly option, the La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVMune 400 Invisible Fluid Tinted SPF50+ is currently discounted to £16.

80 from its original price of £21 and offers a similar lightweight invisible finish. If you're after something that can be worn solo, the Supergoop! Protec(tint) Daily Skin Tint SPF50 , retailing at £40, has been crafted to be your standalone SPF, featuring a tinted sheer formula, reports the Mirror ..
