Techie (35) cheated of 17 lakh by cybercrooks

Pune: Cybercrooks cheated a Bavdhan techie (35) of Rs 17.4 lakh between March 10 and 17. Police stated the suspects sent a message to the victim asking him to work part-time and promised handsome money by performing online tasks.

However, they asked him to do prepaid tasks and then shared four bank account details with him, asking him to transfer money to these accounts to get the prepaid tasks. TNN.
