khanewal - A crime meeting of police officers from across the district was held in the committee room of the DPO Office under the chairmanship of District Police Officer Ismail Kharrak. During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted of the law and order situation in the district, crime prevention, case investigations, the arrest of criminals, and various aspects of police performance. Addressing the officers, DPO Ismail Kharrak stated that the purpose of the meeting is to clarify that all police officers must intensify action against drug dealers, illegal arms mafias, and habitual criminals in their respective areas.
The immediate arrest of court absconders and proclaimed offenders must be ensured. Emergency calls (15) should be responded to promptly. Senior officers should ensure their presence at the scene in serious incidents.
Effective patrolling and checkpoints should focus on hotspots. He emphasized the arrest of dacoit gangs, 100% recovery from them, and immediate tracing of untraced cases. He stated that there is no option but to work now.
SHOs should correct their approach. All police officers must sincerely provide timely and merit-based justice to the public. The dignity of the police uniform must be maintained, and citizens should be treated with complete respect in police stations.
Their issues should be listened to attentively, and no hindrance in the path of justice will be tolerated. The DPO further stated that every citizen’s complaint should be registered at the front desk to ensure immediate redressal, and full cooperation with front desk staff should be ensured. He also noted that the month of Muharram is approaching, and maintaining peace and order during Muharram is our responsibility.
All police officers should remain on high alert, maintain close contact with peace committees, religious scholars, organizers, and citizens to uphold inter-sect harmony, and keep a close watch on suspicious individuals and activities..
