NA speaker backs NSC decisions, warns India on water treaty

ISLAMABAD - Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Thursday expressed full support for the recent decisions of the National Security Committee, stating that Pakistan would not allow any unilateral alteration to the Indus Waters Treaty by India and would respond firmly to any act of water aggression. Speaking in support of the recent National Security Committee decisions, the speaker said they are crucial for safeguarding Pakistan’s national interests. He emphasised the nation’s united stance behind the armed forces, stating that the people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with their armed forces.

Condemning India’s actions related to the Pahalgam incident, he termed New Delhi’s unilateral moves and accusations against Pakistan as baseless and biased. “Pakistan will never compromise on its sovereignty and territorial integrity. Our nation is always prepared to defend its borders,” he said.
